Hello my name is Gregory Perry. I come from the town of Prichard in Wayne County, West Virginia and I am a going to Marshall University to get my Social Studies degree. I am married to my lovely wife Frances and we have been married for a year and half now. After I graduate I am hoping to teach middle to high school social studies and/or history. The reason I chose to do this unit plan on World War II is because a lot of history teachers today really do not go into too much detail on this subject. They teach the major points that occurred and then move on to something else. With this unit I am hoping to go into major detail and analyze pictures and battle maps to try to get the students to have a good time learning history. The reason I chose my age group, the eleventh grade, is because when the students are this old you are not really restricted to what the students can see and do. They can look at the more graphic photos, they know how to pretty much use a computer and are at that age where you start to talk to them like an adult and have adult conversations.
