Three Worksheets for ASSURE Unit Plan

The first worksheet I created for my unit plan is on famous quotes spoken during World War II. The students have to match which speaker spoke which quote, and by doing the assignment the students can learn to know major political figures and generals. On the answer sheet (which is on page two), along with the speakers name is a portrait of the individual and this can help the students to see the speaker.

Worksheet number two is a large battle map where the students will have to tell me the name of the battle, the date that it occurred on, etc. This exercise is to give the students an understanding of what battles occurred on the Pacific front, as well as get them to look up the information on their own without limitation; this means they can either use a book or the internet anything to look up the answers. This assignment is not to just look up the answers but to give the students practice for other research project they will do later on in the unit.

The last worksheet, I think, is a neat idea. The purpose is to have the students take a look at each flag on the page and find out which description it belongs to. This not only get the student to see each country's flags at the time, but it gives them a brief history on each flag as well.
